I remember playing this game years ago, apparently none of the games in the series were well received but I had fun with it.
Released in 2001 build a robot using available parts and enter competitions to try and win. Also available here: https://archive.org/details/robot-arena-2001

Found this in-development multiplayer game built in Godot that looks pretty sweet, they do note it's still in a pre-alpha state.
